The rules for using MarketPickr’s website, accounts and simulated portfolio features.
Effective 2 October 2026Every portfolio and transaction shown on MarketPickr is simulated. No security is purchased, sold, held or recommended, and a selection creates no ownership or economic interest in that security.
1. Using MarketPickr
You must use the site lawfully and provide accurate eligibility information when entering a competition. You are responsible for activity associated with your account and for keeping your passphrase and devices secure. Public usernames must not impersonate another person, infringe rights or contain abusive or unlawful material.
2. Competition rules
Each competition has its own rules covering eligibility, dates, picks, scoring, prizes and winner verification. Those rules form part of these terms when you register. If these website terms conflict with competition-specific rules about administering that competition, the competition rules apply.
3. Fair use
You must not create duplicate accounts to obtain extra entries, interfere with the service, scrape it in a way that affects availability, attempt unauthorised access, manipulate data or rankings, exploit a clear error, or help another person do so. MarketPickr may restrict access or disqualify an entry in accordance with the applicable competition rules.
4. Market information
Prices, returns, rankings and market information may be delayed, corrected or temporarily unavailable. Provisional leaderboards are not final prize decisions. For the current competitions, MarketPickr will manually verify the opening and closing values relevant to the leading baskets against the official Nasdaq or NYSE closing records before confirming the final result.
5. No investment relationship
MarketPickr is a fantasy competition service. It does not act as a broker, investment adviser, portfolio manager, exchange, custodian or financial planner. Nothing on the site considers your objectives or financial circumstances. Do not make an investment decision solely because a security appears in a competition, basket or leaderboard.
6. Intellectual property
MarketPickr’s name, branding, interface and original site content belong to MarketPickr or its licensors. You may use the site for personal participation but may not reproduce or commercially exploit it without permission. Company names, tickers and third-party market information remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Availability and liability
MarketPickr will take reasonable care in operating the site but does not promise uninterrupted availability or that provisional information will always be error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or affects mandatory consumer rights.
8. Changes and termination
We may update the site or these website terms for security, operational or legal reasons. Competition changes and cancellations are governed by the stricter provisions in the relevant competition rules. We may suspend access for misuse, security threats or breach of these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable consumer law.
